While I'm not using kickstarter for my NSFW comics (I'm just publishing them directly through Amazon), still this was very useful and informative article for me! Thank you!

Hey! I’m glad it was helpful. Thanks for taking the time to read and comment. Feel free to drop a link to your work on Amazon. Always curious to know other ways self-publishers are getting their work out there.

Very cool! Looks like you've got some good traction on Amazon, based on the healthy number of positive reviews. Congrats!

Ngl, at this point, I'm sure some established creators can continue to do well on Kickstarter, but the whole ecosystem feels and looks cheap, dirty, and unpleasant. I'm aching for a new platform to rise for the non-NSFW/adult/porn indie comics spheres. As a backer, I'm very much ready to bounce.

I think the average consumer will not make such an abrupt distinction between porn comics and cheesecake comics. My guess is the prevalence of the latter is as significant a factor in the Kickstarter clog phenomenon that @kevinlaporte reports on as the porn comics are.

I'll put it this way, even the cheesecake non-porn comics wouldn't be something I'd want to be seen looking at by my supervisor at work, so in that sense, these are also not not suitable for work.
